Description

Beauveria bassiana is a natural entomopathogenic fungus found in soils worldwide that acts as a parasite on various arthropod species, causing white muscardine disease. It is commonly used as a biological insecticide to control a number of pests, including thrips, termites, whiteflies, aphids, and beetles. This fungus does not need to be ingested by the host and can grow inside the infected insect, producing toxins in the process. While it occurs naturally in soil, its effectiveness against soil dwelling pests may be limited due to resistance developed by such pests. Its use in the control of bedbugs and malaria-transmitting mosquitos is currently under investigation.

Specification:
Solubility: water soluble
Microbial count: 10 billion CFU/gram
Mositure: 12% max.

Application:
Beauveria bassiana is a highly effective entomopathogenic fungus used for controlling various above-ground pests, including forest pests, vegetable pests, and dryland crop pests. By parasitizing the host and consuming their nutrients, it produces spores on their surface that can infect other pests. It has been proven to be effective against a wide range of insect types such as corn borer, pine caterpillar, small cane borer, blind toon, grain elephant, citrus red spider, aphid, rice leafhopper, rice planthopper, black-tailed leafhopper, rice borer, rice leaf roller, and rice pests, as well as agricultural and forestry pests such as soybean borer. It can control more than 200 species of insects from seven orders, including Orthoptera (locusts), Lepidoptera (moth pests), Diptera (mosquito pests), and Coleoptera (beetles). Beauveria bassiana offers a safe and eco-friendly alternative to chemical pesticides for pest control.

Recommended dosage of Beauveria bassiana per hectare is between 6,000 to 12,000 grams. Alternatively, it can be diluted into a 0.1 to 0.2 billion/ml solution.

The recommended dosage can be adjusted to suit your specific needs and situation.
